The $mokebreak EP follows Pink Siifu & Fly Anakin’s critically acclaimed 2020 debut album FlySiifu’s and further explores the musical community they’ve assembled around their imagined FlySiifu’s record store.

Now FlySiifu welcome their friends Foushe , Chuck Strangers, ZelooperZ, MAVI, YUNGMORPHEUS, Koncept Jack$on, Big Kahuna OG, 3wayslim and Peso Gordon into the store and onto the mic, with beats provided by Black Noi$e, Ahwlee, Budgie, Ohbliv, Graymatter, ewonee, and iiye.

Richmond, VA’s Fly Anakin was described by Madlib as “one of the illest MCs”. He’s previously collaborated with Freddie Gibbs and is co-founder of Richmond rap collective Mutant Academy.

Their debut collab album ‘FlySiifu’s’ (2020) featured Liv.e, Foushe , $ilkMoney, & production by Madlib, Jay Versace & Ohbliv, and was critically acclaimed in Pitchfork, FADER and Hypebeast.

The EP announcement and lead single ‘Blame’ were shared in Pitchfork, FADER, Hypebeast, Stereogum, Brooklyn Vegan and HotNewHipHop. The ‘Blame’ music video premiered in Document Journal alongside an interview and photoshoot.

The EP was acclaimed in SPIN, The Wire, Stereogum, Okayplayer, Brooklyn Vegan and FLOOD.

Tracks from the EP have received radio support in the UK from BBC Radio 1 & 1Xtra, Lefto on Worldwide FM, NTS, Kiss FM and Rinse FM. International support from NPR and WQHT in the US, and Triple J, Triple R & FBi in Australia. Previous Pink Siifu & Fly Anakin singles have been played by Vince Staples on his Beats1 show, NPR, KEXP & KCRW in the US, Triple J and Triple R in Australia, BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra and 6Music in the UK.

Pink Siifu and Fly Anakin performed a Bandcamp livestream performance in support of release, alongside MAVI, Ankhlejohn, Remy Banks and Theravada.
