Rarities by famous composers, albeit mostly due to other areas of work, such as Franz Schubert, Franz Liszt and Bedich Smetana, Felix Draeseke and Carl Reinecke, Zdenek Fibich and Wilhelm Kienzl, stand alongside such legendary appearances in the composer’s heaven as those of Anton Arensky, Carl Kleemann, August Reu and Botho Sigwart.

Some composers who were already represented on the previous volumes can be heard here again, but with completely different timbres, such as Camillo Horn and Max Schillings. Next to them are two melodramas by composers who were primarily in demand as conductors in post-war Germany, Erich Riede and Robert Heger. 

In their discoveries, such as small masterpieces by Heinrich Neal, Oskar Bruckner, the performers again place special emphasis on the works of ostracized composers, especially Gustav Lewin, but also others whose names are no longer to be found in music encyclopedias, such as Julius Metz and Arthur Hohenstein. Comparative settings, for example by Theodor Wunschmann and Victor v. Woikowsky-Biedau, complete the spectrum.
