About The Artist:

Born in Ottawa, Canada, on July 30, 1941, Paul Anka began his musical journey early, singing in church and forming his vocal group, the Bobbysoxers, at 13. Despite initial setbacks, a Campbell's soup contest win led him to New York, where he solidified his dream of becoming a singer-composer. Anka's breakthrough came in 1957 with the hit "Diana," marking the start of his prolific career. He traveled with the 'Cavalcade of Stars,' performed at the Copa Cabana, and associated with legends like Sinatra and the Rat Pack.

An accomplished songwriter, Anka wrote for artists like Buddy Holly and Connie Francis. Hits like "My Way" in the '70s further elevated his status. Beyond performing, he co-wrote Michael Jackson's posthumous hit, "This Is It," showcasing his versatility. In recent years, Anka's albums, including "Rock Swings" and "Classic Songs, My Way," showcased his unique take on rock classics, earning international acclaim and gold certifications.
