Man of Steel is the soundtrack to the same-titled film, composed by Hans Zimmer. The film was directed by Zack Snyder, written by David S. Goyer from a story by him and Christopher Nolan. The film follows Clark Kent (Henry Cavill) who learns he is a superpowered alien from the planet Krypton. He assumes the role of Superman and prevents General Zod (Michael Shannon) from destroying humanity.

The score, composed by Zimmer, rose to #4 on iTunes during the first week of its release and entered the Billboard 200 at #9 with 32.000 copies sold. Hans Zimmer has crafted an entirely new set of themes for Man of Steel, which is grittier and darker than ever. It earned him the Brit Award for 'Composer of the Year'.

Man Of Steel is available as a limited edition of 1000 individually numbered copies on silver & black marbled vinyl, housed in a gatefold sleeve with silver-spot varnish on the Superman logo on the front cover. The vinyl package includes a 4-page insert and a fridge magnet.
