Legendary pop icon, Marty Wilde* MBE, is renowned as one of the pioneers of UK rock n roll – the original British teen heart-throb of the ‘50s. With a string of Top 5 chart hits by the time he’d reached 20-years, Marty boasts a monumental global music career that’s spanned over seven-decades. Now, for the first time ever, Marty unveils an all-new album that showcases his prolific song-writing ability. ‘Running Together’, released on 2 October, is Marty Wilde’s first ever album of all-original, self-penned or co-written material. The 15-track collection of tracks old and new features Marty’s two daughters, Roxanne Rizzo-Wilde and Brit award winning Kim Wilde, with additional input from son, Ricky. The album also includes the first duet with daughter Kim ‘60’s World’. Marty had planned to tour throughout 2020, prior to lockdown. The ‘Running Together’ tour is now planned for 2021. Marty will also be featuring on the forthcoming Dreamboats and Petticoats album ‘Music That Lives Forever’ . Marty along with daughter Kim have been made ambassadors for the BPI National Album Day 10th October and a full promo campaign is supporting this event. Marty and Kim have been invited by Ward Thomas to perform with them on a track specifically being recorded for National Album Day and will be broadcast as part of the promotion for the event.
