Although Wagner didn't compose organ music himself, it is not difcult to imagine his colourful orchestrations transcribed for the splendour of the Romantic organ
Laurens de Man plays nine rarely heard transcriptions on two magnifcent 19th-centuryorgans located in the Netherlands: the Ibach organ at the Gertrudiskerk in Bergen op Zoom and the Franssen organ at the Elandstraatkerk in Den Haag.
Laurens de Man is awarded the Nederlandse Muziekprijs 2024, the frst organist ever to receive this most prestigious of Dutch music awards. This has brought him lots of media attention and no doubt the simultaneous release of his two debut albums as an organist (see also GLO 5286).
This album is available in a hand-numbered limited edition of 600 copies.
