Joe Van Loan possessed an awesome falsetto tenor voice that enhanced the recordings of many great doo wop vocal groups of the 1950s.

Best known for his tenure with The Ravens, who he eventually led for some years. He also sung with The Dixieaires, The Bells and The Ink Spots.
