Though the Ink Spots disbanded in 1954, since then many singers have used the name - most with sketchy or no connections whatsoever to the group.
What makes this compact disc authentic and important is that all the tracks are by the three bona fide, long-serving members of the original Ink Spots. Namely lead tenor Bill Kenny, second tenor Deek Watson, and baritone / guitarist Charlie Fuqua fronting their own line-ups, singing 25 songs including the number one chart hits “If I Didn’t Care”, “Address Unknown”, “Maybe”, “We Three (My Echo, My Shadow and Me)”, “Into Each Life Some Rain Must Fall”, “The Gypsy”, and “To Each His Own”, each in carefullyremastered stereo or hi-fi sound.
An enclosed 12-page booklet contains a study of who were the genuine Ink Spots members, information about the recordings on this CD including session details and composer credits, and archival Ink Spots images.
