Nowhere Patches draws from the music of spaces and places both undefined and obvious. A continuation of a practice started more than a decade ago, the foundation of each track was the influence of a particular instrument or characteristic from disparate musical locales. This time, the process was centered around a growing array of Eurorack modules, the number of which doubled in size over the recording of the album. Each track includes a different configuration of modules and, with the exception of some sparse synth lines and a few guitar tracks, the sounds of Nowhere Patches are almost exclusively modular synthesis. Recorded in Tbilisi, Georgia 2020-21.
