IF YOU WANT BLOOD YOU’VE GOT IT – AC/DC’s first live album, released in the Autumn of 1978, features tracks recorded at the Glasgow Apollo in Scotland earlier that year. The album is regularly held up as one of rock and roll’s greatest live recordings.
LET THERE BE ROCK – Initially released in Australia in March 1977, a modified international version featuring the first appearance of the iconic AC/DC logo was unleashed that Summer. It’s said that while recording the solo on the title track, Angus’s amp overheated and caught fire!
BALLBREAKER – This album, released in 1995, saw the band working with producer Rick Rubin for the second time, the first was the single ‘Big Gun’ taken from the soundtrack of the movie The Last Action Hero.
STIFF UPPER LIP – Issued in 2000, the album saw the band reunite with Angus and Malcolm’s older brother George Young on production duties for the first time in over a decade. The album cover features a bronze statue of Angus Young. For the accompanying tour, a replica stood 40 feet high.
ROCK OR BUST – This 2014 album was the first to feature Stevie Young, Angus & Malcolm’s nephew, on rhythm guitar. The album entered the charts at #1 in 12 countries and was top 5 in a further 12.
74 JAILBREAK – First released in 1984, 74 Jailbreak includes tracks that had only been available in their native Australia. The songs recorded in 1974 and 1976, including the classic title track Jailbreak.
