 5CD box set of historic recordings Sir Adrian Boult made with the London Philharmonic Orchestra. They span his tenure as Principal Conductor (1950
57) to his retirement in 1978.
 Released to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of Sir Adrian becoming Principal Conductor.
 Each volume of the release explores a different aspect of Sir Adrian’s music making: his early days with the Orchestra (Disc 1), his interpretations of
Germanic repertoire (Disc 2), his extensive work conducting ballet music (Disc 3), the incredible range of his musical influences (Disc 4) and his
championing of the music of his British contemporaries (Disc 5).
 The box set features performances by musical stars of the period, including Gwenneth Prior, Patricia Bishop, Christopher Bunting, Hugh McLean and Frederick Harvey.
 Many of the works are available on this format for the first time and have been painstakingly remastered.
 The box set comes complete with a 28-page booklet, packed with rich insights into Sir Adrian’s life and career, plus detailed information about the
recordings.
